Jackie Brown on Laserdisc But Not DVD? (1 Viewer)

I understand that Jackie Brown has been released on Laserdisc, with a DTS soundtrack no less! So, why hasn't it been released on DVD???

It has.
It has had a release in most of Europe - UK, France, Belgium, Holland, etc. - but those are the flippers.
You will need to be able to play PAL stuff and have your DVD player equipped to play Region 2 or Region 4 but it has had an Australian release all on one side!
Not seen the film though.

You can get a NTSC anamorphic edition in Japan. It was released about two years ago. It is Region 2 coded. It appears that this is available almost anywhere except Region 1. Strange!!

The R4 (PAL) version is also anamorphic. Apparently, this film is being geared for an SE release in R1, but it's been a long, long time coming.

Earlier this year, it was rumored to be released as an SE in September of this year, but its a little too close to Sept for us to not know about it now, so Im sure this got postponed. If we havent heard about it by now, Im sure it wont get here til next year, because Buena Vista will probably be busy working on their Christmas discs now.
