My mom got me an HDTV last year in may and i got it with the 5 year extended warranty from Brandsmart USA. After she lost her job she had a hard time paying her credit cards and so a few of them went to collection including her brandsmart credit card which we used to buy the HDTV. So what i wanna know is can i still get warranty on the HDTV even though we didn't pay the credit card charge over time? Do they somehow get a notice that we owe for the tv and can actually refuse to honor the warranty because the tv was not paid?

Should still be good.
The tv and warranty were paid for. The ones that wasn't paid, is the credit card company.

It's like when you buy a car. The bank pays the dealer for the car. So, when you default on payments, it's with the bank, not the car dealer.

Why did your mom bought you a tv in the first place?

You should be the one paying off the tv no matter who's credit card was used.

You are old enough to type, then you are old enough to write a check.
