Is Denon replacing the 4802 this year (1 Viewer)

Well I sold my 4800 to a friend who has been bugging me to sell it to him for the last couple of months. I told him I would if he ever came up with some money. He did this week so I sold it to him.
I was looking at the 4802 on Denons web sight and it seems to me there are more features in the 3803 and it cost less.
Is there going to be a 4803 or some thing.
I really do not want to step down in power and lose the THX processing

This is old news, but Denon showed the 05's in Vegas last month.

I've been up since 3, so I can't remember at the moment whether there was a 4805.

4802R is already available, though I haven't seen mention of a 4805 yet.

Is THX processing really a necessity? I haven't found it to be of any use in my system.

THX is great for getting some 7.1 going on 2 Channel material. I have also found that if broadcast 5.1 and/or DD EX sounds a little shrill, it sort of calms it down some.

I actually used it for this past HD SuperBowl with great results.

Denon was showing off the AVR-3805 in Vegas at CES. I was very impressed with all the features and more importantly the performance. The 3805 has 100 MHz video switching, auto room acustic program that I am told by the Denon rep is faster and better than there compition. Assignable amplifiers, assignable digital inputs and a rf remote if I am not mistaken. The 3805 is set to retail for $1200 and is 120 watts x 7. The new Denon product cd did not have a 4805 on it . It only shows a 4803r hope this helps.

THX with Denon is not a big deal. Denon actually employees 2 engineers who wrote most of the certification guidelines for THX. The 4805 is going to be coming out soon I hope, it was mentioned on another website but i can't remember which.
