Is a 24k Gold Plated 3 prong plug better? (1 Viewer)

I won a used Monster Power HTS 5000 Powercenter on Ebay. The power cord plug was badly damaged during shipping. The seller has refunded $50.00 to me to get another plug. He suggested the Oyaide brand. They have a non-plated brass plug for about $55.00 and one that is 24k gold plated for about $85.00.

Is it really worth it to get the gold plated one? Would a $9.00 one from Home Depot be fine?

I`d say the the 9 dollar plug will work fine. U`r outlets and wiring in the house dont use gold to conduct electricity. Pure Snake oil, I`ve used plugs from Walmart that cost less than 3 bucks. Everything still works and sounds the same.
