I would like to remind everyone that this film has added CGI monsters not merely to an old legend, but to an ACTUAL HISTORICAL EVENT. (Which is not to say that that concept couldn't be cool.)

Jack the Giant Slayer was excellent, but John Carter was excellent-er.

Went and saw it. My group liked it quite a bit. The theater was quite busy here, not too many seats left. I was quite surprised.
