ipod (or similar) - are they stable enough to run with? (1 Viewer)

I'm considering upgrading to a drive-based MP3 in order to hold more music. I would use it almost exclusively while working out (mostly running).

Are these devices stable enough to be subjected to this sort of use?

Has anyone here used one like this for any period of time?
