    Nice screen grabs there!

I really, really, really hope this set will be free of the playback defects that plaque the first season. I'm still trying to get to the bottom of that and it's the only thing that worries me about S2.

i was afraid that the six would be problematic, but at least it should be somewhat better, not great, but better

^ I don't understand what you expected. The source is 3/4 inch tape so it's impossible for it to look good.

actually no, not impossible, difficult yes, but the age of the material would also play a factor as well, with the current technology, 3/4 inch tap would have to be completely redone, when this was first announced i was looking around to see which of the specialty houses actual do restorations on taped material, its no longer Lowery, but they do, do tape restoration? its not a complaint, mind you but the discussion was possibly to get both versions, the taped version and the kinoscope,

do i expect it to look as good as the rest from film negatives, no but as good as it can, which from the screen cap it does, 7 days, and i can judge in motion on my own screen, this was a pre order the moment it popped, and already pre season three as well,

Gary used some strange terminology in that review. When he says "looks like a kiniscope", I fear the fluid 30FPS look of tape has somehow been lost in the transition. He also reports that some episodes (the ones he listed were for eps that preceded VT shows) have interlaced next show trailers. Not exactly sure where he was getting at there (all the vt episodes had 35mm Kiniscope promos on the DE set).
