if the TV audio is analong only, how do i watch shows "presented in dolby digital"? (1 Viewer)

You watch the analog sound that is either (a) broadcast as an alternative track, or (b) created by the receiving device (e.g., a digital cable box) from a digital signal. You'll be limited to 2-channel stereo.
