I'll vote for the Energy's as well I've got the Take 5+1's and my wife completely loves them, I have been quite happy with them in the performance for dollar/size criteria. They are very impressive speakers and really around the same size as the Acoustimass speakers.
I've got them setup in a 18x12x8 living room with the EXL-S8 subwoofer and it has yet to not impress anyone who come's over to hear them. The most common comments I get is " I cant believe all that is coming from that" while pointing at the rather small Less than 6" tall satellites.
I'll eventually move up to the Energy Connosiour (SP?) line but for now these keep me quite happy.
