If I Were Toshiba....
have a player ready before Christmas at half the price of the current player with DVD-A and SACD.
Waive license fees for those studios that participate, and offer the same to those studios that don't to get them to release their films on HD-DVD format;
Focus on speeding up load time as well as making sure that 1080p is the output via HDMI.
Full Dolby Digital True HD or DTS-HD available.
Free movie offers, small but a demo HD-DVD with every purchase would be a good idea.
If there's a chance that HD-DVD is the losing format, then they should pull out all the tricks to convince consumers otherwise.
