Does anyone know why the Sonicap upgrade is only applied to the tweeter network on the A/V-3s? Is there no benefit to using them on the woofer network?

Sure,

The woofer network on the A/V-3's uses a first order with impedance equalization.

The impedance equalization on the woofers uses a cap in line with a resistor. I didn't feel using a Sonicap in this application yielded enough gain to make it worth it.
