Hopefully Adobe will shut down Flash soon, it is a menace. That being said, from what I have read, keeping Flash up to date would have protected a user from this particular attack.

After that last Flash issue, I removed it from my computer. But there are cases when it's missed (SpeedTest.net, in particular). What's DEFCON for Flash today?

Dave - Use Google Chrome for speedtest.net because it has a built-in flash player.

I use Chrome on my MBP for speedtest.net and company intranet only. I use Safari for everything else.
