I've managed to complete the collection with the exception of Salo- which I have on LD. Definitely worth the investment. I have been exposed to many great films that I otherwise would not have known about. I have no qualms with buying anything and everything released under the Criterion Collection banner. I'm guaranteed to be pleased with the purchase.

My last four purchases:
Monterey Pop
Band of Outsiders
Pepe Le Moko
Trouble in Paradise
Great films, and if you want to see an example of a DVD done right, just look at Monterey Pop.
Wow, I just counted and I now have 70 Criterion Collection DVDs. They sure have a way of sneaking up on you.

Regarding Ozu, I hope they release Tokyo Story someday. Certainly a film needed to be seen by as many as possible. Also, after the superb Solaris DVD I can't wait for more Tarkovsky; mainly The Mirror and Ivan's Childhood (wasn't the latter announced a while back at their website?).

Well, Michael, Metro-Tartan are going to be issuing Tokyo Story in the UK later this year, and if it's anything like their Bergman and Truffaut discs, it should be excellent!
