With the release of DANTES PEAK... i hope Universal will look into the release of VOLCANO...the movie has it all... Parent - daughter conflect Very young, cute child in peril Totally improbable solution to the danger Over the top acting Almost chinchy special effects Lots of rumbly tumbly audio Great tag line (hehehehe!!) Tommy Lee Jones ....the present dvd is not even anamorphic.... i can hope.

As I was watching Dante's Peak last night, I was hoping Fox would give us Volcano also. It is a very guilty pleasure for all your reasons, plus Anne Heche. It does appear that the DVD is about to go OOP if it has not already, so perhaps a Blu is on the horizon.

I too would like this movie on Bluray, and IIRC, there is/was an HD version available on X-box Live, which makes things all the more confusing
