I Know What You Did Last Summer 2 pack (1 Viewer)

I noticed that the two movies I (still) Know What You Did Last Summer are now in a two pack. It says they are mastered in high defination. Has anyone bought them and compared them to the original release? I would buy them if they are better but a waste of money otherwise. Thanks

Anyone? I was hoping someone had bought this. I may just go ahead and take my chances and just buy it. It would be nice to know if I was wasting my money.

I don't have this edition, but I've heard from a few people online that most or all of the advertised extras are not on the original I Know disc.

All of the advertised extras are on the discs. The "Exclusive New Documentary!" is only about 20-30 minutes long, but it does include new interviews of Jennifer Love Hewitt. Well, new as in 2003 when the set was released, that is. Some of the other actors' interviews are on set from 1997. The director's commentary track is the same one from the original individual DVD released in 1998. I would love to hear a commentary with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

I didn't know there was one released back in 2003. The one I was wondering about is the first one you have pictured from 2005. On the back it says mastered in high defination and it does list some extras not on the original release. I am not sure if it is the same transfer or if both movies got a new transfer since both came out in the early days of dvd. The original releases do not say it on the box but both are anamorphic so I know at least there is no difference there.

I went ahead and bought it. I watched both the new and old versions for a few minutes to compare them. The sound was about the same 5.1 DD and the picture seemed a little better on the new disc. I only watched a few minutes at the start so this was not much of a comparison. I did notice a better main menu on the new disc but some people may miss the dedicated dolby surround track on the old disc. The new disc only has DD 5.1 on it. The good news is that there are several new extras as well as the fact that the new 2 disc set only takes up half the space the 2 original cases did. I almost forgot. You don't get the nice inserts the original had.
