So, yesterday I was in Target when i saw them. 3 Xbox 360s behind the locked glass case. It was sort of an impulse buy, as I wasnt expecting to see them, but I had planned on buying one eventually. So, $500 for my 360 premium and a game and im out the door. My buddy who was with me bought a game and NHL 2k6, (he planned on buying the system with his tax return, i tried to talk him into buying one that day, no luck). So, since my friend had to go into work for a few hours, i decided to spend some time with my girlfriend untill opening up the box. 8:30 my friend finally returned, we sat down and started to open the box. The first thing i did was flip open the little slot on the top to expose the serial number. "This is odd", i thought, the serial number isnt there. I continued onward, not overly concerned. The Target seal on the box unbroken, i pulled my keys out of my pocket and tore it down the middle, flipped open the lid, and in horror began to rummage through the box. Opened! Every bag in the box was ripped open! The controller had grease stains on it! The xbox chrome parts covered in finger prints! The manuals and demo disks nowhere to be found! This was a USED Xbox! I ran too the door, threw on my coat and headed for Target. The customer service girl didnt really seem to beleive me. But, offered to let me exchange it anyway. She called electronics to ask them to bring me another one, but, of course. Out of stock! A stock clerk walking bye overheard and said "No way, there were 6 of them a few hours ago." He called again, and confirmed that all 6 had been sold. So, I was left with 2 options, to return it, or try again to exchange next week. If it wasnt for the fact that my friend bought a controller i would have just gotten my money back. But, I really wanted to play some 360 mdden on the projector. So back out to the car we went. When i came home and hooked it all up I see that half of my harddrive is full of media. Porn videos, and crappy punk rock music. What i was looking forward to the most, my free month of Xbox Live is expired, used by "FrankieMuf". This sucks. I just dont understand it. This console had obviously been used. What was the motivation for returning it? It was obvioulsy planned out. Why would he have had the forsight to not break the Target security seal otherwise?
