I think it's disappointing they didn't at least inquire about how to improve the transfers with LiveFeed (or anything other than the minimal adjustments). But they may only have the 1980s masters to work with in the first place. Even so, could they have still used those with the LiveFeed process?

Not all of them (at least one-- "The Comedian"-- was not properly transferred from the start), but "Requiem" would have worked-- in fact, the clip that I pointed to in an earlier post in this thread used the laserdisc as a source for the test footage.

It wouldn't have been an **optimal** situation, but yes, it was certainly possible.

If a company has that little knowledge then they have no business doing such a release to begin with.
