HTF 2004-2005 Fantasy Football League (1 Viewer)

Okay, I setup HTF League 1 now as follows. Obviously I would like priority to go to previous HTF1 members and then we would fill in the slots of any missing owners from last year.

If anyone knows John Thomas' email we should still invite him to join the league I think, unless someone has an issue with that (not sure why he got dumped, but since I've had a few close calls myself I can sympathize with his situation).

The scoring is identical to last year except that I switched the 2 RB, 3 WR we used to the 2/2/"1 of either" setup.

I went with a slightly earlier draft because I'm not big on waiting till the last second. People sometimes get anxious to get their roster set, though others don't like the risk of losing a guy to a pre-season injury.

The time might be too early for guys out west. I haven't run a league via Yahoo before but I assume the draft time could be altered still, maybe an hour or 2 later if need be (can't keep the east people up late either).

I just realized I set the league for 10 teams as of right now. I can bump that up to 12 if we need too, although it seems pretty certain that we would need to add a few owners for that to happen.

Brandon - I'm I right in assuming your team is the Crusaders? I can't tell by your Yahoo ID and I've never been good at keeping track of HTF ID vs FFL team.


Paul is the Calgary team normally IIRC.

So if we add him then we have 6. Andrew just posted that he is probably out. I haven't heard back from anyone else at this point on the PMs.

With 4-6 spots needed to be filled and a good chance that we might only add 2-3 more people from last year, I'd say that people waiting on HTF2 could still get into HTF1 instead if spots run low.

I don't want to bump returning owners out too quickly so I'll give them some time to respond, but if you aren't in a league yet you probably have a good chance still.

You will be required to draft Ricky Williams if you are a first year owner.

As I said, I am also checking back here and the Yahoo league over the next week for original owners coming in.

After that I'll open up slots to anybody that isn't already in HTF2 and needs a spot. I will also bump it to 12 teams if needed.

Our draft is a month away so there is no rush or worry about not getting in with us in time. I will consider the order of request to join posts so you guys who already posted have priority over any other newbies that pop in looking to join a leauge.

We might not even need a 3rd league at this point.

Over the last few years I've found that playing in two leagues inevitably leads to one being less maintained, not to mention the cognitive dissonance of having different players and rooting for and against the same guys. Thanks for keeping me in mind, though. I've been less active in HTF in recent months, but maybe I'll pop in a little more than I have been.
