How to store video games on console? (1 Viewer)

I thought awhile back my brother said there was a way to store it on the Xbox and not have to use a disk. Is that true? Its an Xbox 360 slim

You can install disks for faster loads but it still has to check each time you play that the disk is in the drive

O maybe that's what he was doing then
