How to reset Denon reciever (1 Viewer)

My friend has a Denon 1802 that is currently doing the blinking power light thing, indicating a averload or crossed wire. After disconnecting all speaker wires, it still blinks. Afte unplugging, it still blinks.

I know ther is a processor reset for Denons but can't rember how to do it. Tried a search and couldn't find the procedure but I did find mention of it.


Can anyone help on this?

From a powered off state, (not standby), hold in the "direct" and "stereo" buttons. Turn on the unit while still holding in these buttons and your microprocessor should reset.

At least it does on my 5700. Hopefully that is all that is wrong with your unit, and it works out.
