I'm thinking about using just one speaker for the es-ex setup; possibly an extra center channel speaker. What are you opinions?

J: I have read that 2 is better than 1. But obviously, 1 is better than none!
If you have the space, and the extra amplification channel, go for 2.
I have 1 though, and am quite happy with it. (I don't really have the space for 2.)
Might also depend on how you set 1 up vs 2, and it might just come down to what you prefer the sound of.

I am using a Klipsch C5 center
channel speaker on an Onkyo 787
for a surround back channel. Don,t
really have any more space for
another speaker, my room
is 16 x 20'. Sounds good to me,
believe the only reason one would
go for two back surrounds is room
size.
