The last five DVD purchases that I have made have been 2 DVD sets:
1) Lawrence of Arabia
2) Unbreakable
3) Cast Away
4) The Bridge on the River Kwai
5) Dances with Wolves (DTS)
And Tuesday will make it six consecutive DVD titles in a row that will be a two disc set, when I pick up Scorsese's remake of Cape Fear!
And these are in addition to the 2 disc DVD sets that I already had, such as Gladiator, the Toy Story 2 pack, Jurassic Park and TLW, A Bugs Life CE, and several more that I am sure that I am forgetting!
How many 2 disc DVD sets do you have?

17 of my 109 DVDs are multi-disc sets. That comes out to nearly 16% of 'em. Interesting.

I have 254 DVDs. The following are the two- and three-disc sets:
  1. The 10th Kingdom
  2. The Abyss
  3. Akira
  4. Alien (Since it only pertains to the first film, I like to count the "Alien Legacy" documentary DVD as its supplement disc…I got a double Amaray case to house 'em together)
  5. Armageddon
  6. Army of Darkness
  7. Boogie Nights
  8. Brazil (three discs)
  9. A Bug's Life
  10. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
  11. Dogma
  12. Fight Club
  13. Gladiator
  14. Halloween
  15. Hannibal
  16. Independence Day
  17. Magnolia
  18. The Rocky Horror Picture Show
  19. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (I managed to find the double-disc DVD-9 version)
  20. Unbreakable[/list=a]
I also have Men In Black (limited edition) and Seven (to replace the flipper I currently have) on their way as we speak. I'd like to eventually replace my current DVDs of The Rock and the Die Hard Trilogy with the 2-disc version. I have the single disc versions of Meet Joe Black and The Mummy, but I'm happy with them and don't plan to replace them.

??? 2 disc set of the Matrix? Have I missed something?
He's INTENDING to buy the just-announced box set of Matrix and Matix Revisited. WB is putting out the latter as a disc of additional supplements not on the prev. released DVD. Owners of the first disc can just buy the supplement, even if it IS a bit pricey. People who haven't bought either one yet can buy the box set.
DVD File had a blab about this, if I recall right.
As I read his post, my wife looked over my shoulder and expressed surprise that ANYone doesn't have Matrix yet. A damn fine movie.

I am surprised at how many people have the 2 disc version of T2 Ultimate Edition. Isn't the DVD-18 the one that was most widely available? Thats what I have. It came with the Tin.
