I used to feel a compulsion to own discs but lately I have (apparently) been able to fight it and just rent. I dunno, maybe if they came down in price....

Not much of a change for me. I did receive my 5 Freebie HD DVD's, unfortunately Universal must think of HD DVD owners as low-life scumbags as it looks like they took a buzz-saw to the case. Thanks Universal at least for not scuffing up the disc with a steel wool pad.

I did sell off my BD T2 for the import and sold my HD Troy for the upcoming DC.

Currently own:
Blu-Ray = 50
HD-DVD = 32

Pre-ordered and/or Announced:
Blu-Ray = 26
HD-DVD = 3


Man how I wish there were 200+ titles on BD/HD that I was interested in owning. I still haven't broken the 100 title barrier.

I'm waiting until there are about 20 must-own titles avilable in the formats before I jump aboard. So far there are only around 6 or 7 titles (already available or announced) that I would purchase. At this pace it should be another year until I'm part of this niche market.
