Are the transfers good for todays standerds? Is the DD 5.1 any good? I keep waiting for eventually Superbits on these but since Bestbuy has good prices on them right now I may pick them up.

Cliffhanger is wonderful, nice picture and excellent sound. Buy it :D

Ghostbusters could do with a new transfer; since 2004 will be the 20th anniversary...maybe a new release?

The Ghostbusters disc that is out now is pretty good, it could probably use a new transfer as commented above, but for being a DVD that's been out for somewhere around 4 years the overall DVD still ranks high on the chart of awesome...

Jumanji had a bright bass-heavy mix to it, a somewhat soft picture but still fairly good. I concur with Ghostbusters not quite up to the standards of today but still ok.

Besides, when most of these Columbia TriStar titles are available for dirt cheap (2 for CDN$25 at my local Future Shop), it's a can't miss prospect.
