According to Michael Ausiello, Tony-winning Broadway actor Lin-Manuel Miranda has been cast as House's roommate at the psychiatric hospital for season six. They're also looking for other interesting actors to populate the facility with.

I thought I'd start a thread to track news for the upcoming season. Minor casting news I'll post in the clear unless people have a big problem with it, but lets continue to spoilerize plot info despite the spoiler warning ni the thread title.

I remember back when Mira Sorvino guest starred in an episode--as a psychiatrist--there was a rumour (I believe Sorvino herself said it, and that Houes was he favourite show) that that character would become recurring. Perhaps we'll be seeing her early on in the season?
