The season finale was on again last night. Man, what a great episode!

They had the trailer for the next season...

Unless he is still dreaming, it looks like Cuddy used the Ketamine and House is walking, jogging, etc.! It's going to be a very different season!

My biggest concern about the newest season is that House gets TOO well. As in, without the pain, he's not as miserable. Without being miserable, he's not nearly as interesting a character.

I can't imagine House only being miserable because of his leg. It seems he was always miserable and his leg just gave him more ammunition. House is the artistic embodiment of Glass Half Empty except when it comes to his ability to solve medical problems.

Nah, House is House. The leg just made things much worse for him, but he's still a miserable bastard.

I remember an episode when someone asked his ex what he was like "before the leg", and she said he was just like he is now.

Yeah, I don't know, what worries me most is the part in the commercial asks "Does he seem any different to you?"

If he is no longer in pain he won't need to be drugged up all the time. Will that change his personality or abilities?

Or is he hooked on the drugs anyway (which opens up a new storyline regarding rehab/drug withdrawal).

Exactly, Marianne. What if he's over the pain, but starts "feeling" it again - is it really the pain coming back? Or, is it a sub-conscious thing because he 'needs' the drugs again? Lots of things they can do.
