:emoji_thumbsup: = Good film.
:emoji_thumbsup: :emoji_thumbsup: = An absolute favorite of mine!
 = Bad film.
  = A film I hate with a passion!

Steve Gon
Theater of Blood- :emoji_thumbsup:
The Body Snatcher- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup:
Frankenstein (1931)- :emoji_thumbsup:
Dracula (1931)- :emoji_thumbsup:
The Black Cat (1934)- :emoji_thumbsup:
Pumpkinhead- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: A masterful revenge tale with one of the most badass creatures to ever hit the silver screen!
Spirits of the Dead- haven't seen.
Phenomena- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: A masterpiece that is neck and neck with TENEBRE as Argento's second best film!
Dead of Night (1945)- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: An overlooked masterpiece, and one of the best anthology films in existance!
The Legend of Hell House- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: Excellent film, and one of my favorite haunted house tales!
The Pit and the Pendelum (1961)- :emoji_thumbsup: Damn good Poe adaptation, but the best is the outstanding MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH (original of course).
Humanoids From the Deep- :emoji_thumbsup: Cool little cult gem!

vs.

Dome Vongvises
The Monster Squad- :emoji_thumbsup: A childhood favorite.
The Exorcist III- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: The best film in the series. Very creepy.
Last House on the Left- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: Very good exploitation film, but not one of Craven elite three.New Nightmare- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: A great return to form for the series.
Final Destination- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: I really enjoy this one.
Deliverance- :emoji_thumbsup: Good film. Need to see it again.
Tales From the Hood- :emoji_thumbsup: Underrated gem.
Audition- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: An utter masterpiece, and easily one of the greatest horror films of the last 20 years! Brilliant!
Madman- :emoji_thumbsup: Good and cheesy slasher, but not quite classic material.
Terror Train- :emoji_thumbsup: Another good slasher, one that blows JLC's other 80s slashers, the worthless Halloween II and Prom Night, away.
Friday The 13th Part 3- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: A series favorite.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space- :emoji_thumbsup::emoji_thumbsup: Absolutely hilarious horror comedy.

Steve has four favorites, but Dome has more, so he gets my vote.

Cujo - :star:
The Sentinel - :emoji_thumbsup:
The Serpent and the Rainbow - 1/2
They Came From Within - 1/2
Waxwork - :star:

Dead Alive - :star:
Interview with the Vampire - :emoji_thumbsup:
The Stepfather - :emoji_thumbsup:
The Brood - :star:
Christine -
Misery - :emoji_thumbsup:

A tie! Well, Justin has one of the lesser Cronenberg's, while Erik has his best. OTOH, Justin has one of the best King adaptations, Erik one of the worst and a good one.

Justin, because he doesn't have Christine...

No love for Christine?! It's one of Carpenter's best films, IMO. :)

Also, Steve and Dome's match still needs a tie-breaking vote:

Frankenstein (1931)
Dracula (1931)
The Black Cat (1934)
Pumpkinhead
Spirits of the Dead
Phenomena
Dead of Night (1945)
The Legend of Hell House
The Pit and the Pendelum (1961)
Humanoids From the Deep

vs.

Dome Vongvises
The Monster Squad
The Exorcist III
Last House on the Left
New Nightmare
Final Destination
Deliverance
Tales From the Hood
Audition
Madman
Terror Train
Friday The 13th Part 3
Killer Klowns From Outer Space

Someone? Anyone?!

If you don't succeed in finding a tiebreaker, you can change my abstain to a vote for Steve.

It's been a long time since I saw it and the only thing I remember about it is how disappointed I was, being such a big fan of Carpenter and King. The story just doesn't strike me as movie material. It may work on the page, but on screen it's not scary in any way...
