I currently have B&W 686 bookshelf speakers for L/R and an old set of Bose cube speakers for surround. I want to upgrade to 685s for the front channel and move the 686 to the rear, my question is to use another 685 for the center channel for 5.1 or a dedicated center speaker?

If you have room to put one in...certainly use a 685.
