We have that Tyke system here... and they have a special running for $499 which includes a Kenwood 7100 receiver AND the Tyke system.

Add a $150 DVD player, and your friend will have a nice system... with some GREAT sounding speakers....

Juan,

It seems silly for your friend to get that Sony system if he already has a DVD player, not to mention a serious waste of resources since his budget is so limited. If he can bring himself to wait past Saturday and go with Tony’s and Craig’s recommendation, he’ll have a system that will blow the Sony out of the water.

Because brand-name HTiBs are known to sound like crap. SONY speaker products also tend to sound like crap (exception being some very nice ES level components). Thus a SONY HTiB is very likely to sound like crap. any of dozens of former SONY HTiB owners on this forum can attest to their bargain-value, bargain sound. Rocket owners can attest to their good sound and excellant value.
