My dvd player is connected to my projector via a Denon Amp using component cables. The problem is when watching a DVD I get lines of interference travelling up the screen. They're not that noticeable to most people but of course I know they're there so they stick out like a sore thumb to me. Does anyone know the cause of these and how to get rid of them?

Thanks

First: what is the bandwidth on the component video connections on the Denon amp?

Many recievers offer "component video" switching, but these signals top out at about 4 Mhz. Progressive video goes up to 13 Mhz.

Try connecting directly from your DVD player to your projector. This could solve the problem, or expose a bad cable.
