Hey guys,

I am planning to buy a budget Projector for just home entertainment (movies mainly)

Looked up 2 for a pretty fair price.

Epson EB-W02 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005VAZ71G/

Optoma HD700X - Optoma HD700X - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00120SBOY/

Resolution - I wanted to have a HD projector and these 2 seems to fit the category. Though the Epson is actually WXGA which is actually a bit higher resolution than 720p (1280x800). Haven't seen too many of this resolution, does this make any difference?

Lumens - The Epson has a whopping 2600 lumens while the Optoma is 1300 only.

Connection - The Optoma has HDMI while the Epson doesnt have that. It seems it operates through the USB port. Not sure if thats a bad sign or not.

The Epson seems to be a newer model while the Optoma is from 2008, though it got pretty good reviews.

Is there anything else you see which makes a big difference? And generally which one do you think would be better?

If you have any other recommendation around this price I welcome those as well.

Thanks a lot for any advice in advance!

Go with the BenQ. That Epson you picked isn't even for home theater.
Well thats good to know. I liked the Epson as well. In terms of contrast and brightness it beats the others. And I dont think I would need a higher resolution than 720p. the room is rather small.

is you guys have any other suggestions around £400 I would be glad to hear it :)
