I'm moving all my amps and sat receiver to another room and just discovered I have to run my new wiring parallel to a bundle of electric wires for about a foot. They'll be about 4 inches apart. What can I do to shield them? Could I stuff a bunch of aluminum foil between them?

Thanks,
Tom

The electrical codes recommend at least 2 inches between data and power so you should be same. I bought some 1 1/4 inch electrical conduit to run my interconnects and speaker wire were it gets to close. Fairly cheap, the only thing is to beware of is the sharp edges.
Good Luck!

I don’t expect you’ll have a problem, Tom, because all your line-level cables are already shielded. That’s why we use shielded cables in the first place – to protect from EMI.
