I have a DVD player that can decode HDCD but my audio receiver cannot decode HDCD. Shound I use the analog out to decode the HDCD or just forget about HD and use the digital out to listen to CDs? In other what sounds better: Analog HDCDs or nonHD digital CDs?

If you want to decode HDCD, the DVD player will have to do it and you will need to connect it to the receiver using the analog outputs. As to which way will sound better you will have to try it both ways and make your own decision.
