Me either. I usually let my DLP run for 5 minutes or so before watching any HD content anyway

After playing about 15 HD-DVD's and many Standard DVD's and some CD's as well without a single glitch - i put in Kiss, Kiss, Bang Bang (blockbuster rental) and my first freeze!! Doom & Gloom! The format is failing!!!!!!!! A Best Buy Conspiracy! Waaah!!!!!

well i pulled it out and there was some sort of dry glob on it - washed it all purty and it played like a champ ...

This thread at AVS has some discussion regarding the issue I believe I am having:

Pretty sure it has something to do with my receiver decoding the down-rezzed DTS bitstream. One guy even uploaded a video clip demonstrating the audio anomoly:

http://www.killigrew.net/videos/MVI_0291.AVI

I took a peek and that is exactly what I am hearing, though mostly on special features but it rears its ugly head sometimes during the feature as well.

I thought I could hear the problem over HDMI as well, but now the HDMI sounds ok. Could have "imagined" that part...but there is no doubt there is something squirrely with the audio over digital outs to receiver.

Well, now you know what to do. Keep the A1 and ditch the receiver. :)
