I will back up what Luke said. I remember that chat, and they were responding to why they had pan & scanned some 1.85 film, and they were honestly saying that they thought people didn't care about pan & scanning except on really wide films. :frowning:

Agreed that the tone of the chat is what Luke and George say...I was there, too.

I also agree that I will buy these only when they are released in their OAR!

Out of the approximately 150 DVDs that I own, less than 10 are P&S or open-matte when they should be widescreen, (matted or not.) Those titles are:
  • "Grumpy Old Men"
  • "Grumpier Old Men"
  • "Happy Gilmore"
  • "Judgment Night" (not the full 2.35:1)
  • "National Lampoon's Vacation"
  • "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"
  • "National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation"
  • "Psycho II"
All of these should be re-released in their OAR!

They would be in my collection too! And I haven't even seen these movies, but I heard that they were great. Oh well, Warner, you need to do a better job with widescreen and dts.
