This is everyone I CAN second and third, although few are what I would call "great". However, more nominees makes things more interesting.

Second:
Mel Brooks
Tim Burton
Wes Craven
Sam Raimi
Rob Reiner
Ivan Reitman

Third:
Chris Columbus
David Cronenberg
Harold Ramis
George Romero

This is the only other person that I think I am able to nominate:

Nominate:
Jackie Chan

Some that I would second or third, but can't nominate myself:
Hal Ashby
Gus Van Sant
Steven Soderbergh
Milos Forman
Jonathan Demme
Richard Linklater
James Cameron

Ack... if I'd known that so many great directors would get left out, I wouldn't have thirded Columbus, Ramis and Cronenberg.

I would love to nominate him. But, yet again, I have only seen seven of his films (as I have of Jim Jarmusch). Perhaps Forman can get in to the Wild Card category as well if nobody else nominates him.

thanks

Alright we have stage 1 complete. Next up are the Wild-Card Directors.

1. The current nominations will be carried over so those Directors can still make it in the Wild-Card spots.

2. You have to have seen 4 films to nominate a Director.

3. You have to have seen 3 films to second & third.

4. Let me know if you want to bend the 4 film rule to include directors that'll be left out such as Tarrantino etc. Majority rules.

5. Clean slate. To those of you hording nominations, seconds & thirds - sorry but ya lost em.

6. I'd like to get this nominations list (There's still many worthy Directors on this list) cleaned up some so everyone now has 2 Nominations, 6 seconds & thirds.

I'll put up a batch of Directors myself.
