Amen again. It might be an MTV generation thing but I don't think it's neccessary to take up 45 minutes of the film to watching a space shuttle sloooooooowly approaching the space station. I baked some bread, took a shower, finished a quilt and the damn thing still hadn't docked yet.

Jim, I know what you mean. If anyone is hurting for choices just look at my ymdb top 20, at this rate they should all be used up.

Chuck, I think you've inspired me to go rent Cries and Whispers this weekend.

At least this is fun watching from the sidelines.

OK, another holy grail of 'foreign art' films, Jules & Jim

This movie just irritated the hell out of me. The characters were obnoxious, stupid, and just, well, irritating. I suppose there are people like that out there, but I don't want to watch a movie about them. I also realize that there are supposed to be some profound truths in this movie that you could only otherwise get from visiting a Lama in Tibet. My least favorite Tuffaut by a long shot.

I'm sorry I meant George. It's the only film mentioned that I haven't seen yet.

Now I'm even more interested since I love Jules & Jim.

Agree wholeheartedly. How Begnini won the Oscar for this piece of shit is beyond me.

Well, at least two of them died at the end. :) I actually like the movie, though it's not my favorite Truffaut by any means.

Well, can't say I'm doing as bad as Jim. Only three of my favorites are in this draft.

Rosemary's Baby
- Rosemary is just as bad as Eleanor from The Haunting, and the ending was a fucking joke.

Well if this draft proves anything it's that we all have very disparate taste. I'm well aware that many people love the movies on my list (and I'm sure with good reason), and I love many of the movies listed so far.

Some films I love that people have picked:

Rosemary's Baby
The Fellowship of the Ring
2001
Singin' in the Rain
Monty Python & the Holy Grail
Dr. Strangelove
Star Wars
Bride of Frankenstein
The Godfather
A Clockwork Orange

Heck, most of those are in my top 100 films of all time.

Yeesh! :frowning: 14 of my favorites have been picked so far.

My taste in films must really suck. :D

OK my picks are:

Forrest Gump - Lets just say I found it offensively manipulative. The groundbreaking effects were a bit tiring also.

Grease - I just really hate this film. I think its due to the fact that it was a favorite film of two of the girls I dated in high school. Needless to say I've seen it multiple times when I had no interest to. Heartless bitches! ;)

LukeB you're up. So far you're batting 1000 in picking my favorite films :p)
