Can anyone recommend any GOOD software for viewing DVDs on your PC? I have the default Encore software from Creative that came with the drive and decoder, and there is that PC Frendly stuff that works alright, but is there anything that is better, and free?

I don't know what OS you're using, but Win2K has a built in DVD player which does alright (dvdplay.exe). Also, Windows media player is able to play DVD if activated.
Otherwise I use Link Removed which came with my drive.

I don't believe there's a good free player. I think the best is WinDVD.

I'd also recommend WinDVD. It seems to have the greatest compatibility and runs quite well. It is what I plan on using in my HTPC.

I have to recemend WinDVD as well.
Especially the new version of WinDVD, 3.0.
With the ability to decode DTS soundtracks, and improved video decoding, there is really no other program that can touch it. Plus i think it looks better then just about any other DVD player when using a TV output.
