Logan's an asshat. Rory, unfortunately, is her mother's daughter. There's more baggage there than we suspect.

Right now? Have we been watching the same show?

From the beginning Lorelai has been in many ways the child in her and Rory's relationship, complete with the associated egocentric behavior. She's intelligent, charming, and has good breeding, which the show relies on heavily, and basically a decent person, but the world is very often her very large and complex dollhouse.

In regards to Luke and April, I'm surprised Lorelai held up as long as she did. She tried being what she considered supportive, though it's hard for her to get outside herself and see what supportive really is. HINT: It isn't just shutting up and accepting whatever, giving the impression you feel other than you do. It's understanding what the other person is going through and talking through (working through) things over a period of time.

I bought Luke's explanation about why he didn't "reveal" April, but it does nothing to relieve his responsibliity to communicate such a life altering event to his fiance. Again, talk. "I found out I have a daughter. I'd like to get to know her myself before we get to know her as a couple."

Well, I should have said that Loralai is being more selfish than usual and this time it robbed her of a truly great future with a good man, a future I don't think she would have had with either Digger or Max because she simpy didn't love them, and to compound her error she's being insanly unreasonable as well.

She handeled this whole thing in the worst possible way and further more I think that she knows it on some level but her paranoia and Gilmore gene-imbedded stubborness causes her to continue to play the "It was THE fight, I ended it, it's over." game with herself when in reality all it would have taken was a simple phone call to Luke saying that she was sorry to put things back on track...she's making things more complicated than they needed to be.

Of course, if she hadn't of slept with Chris, apologizing would have done the trick, but I don't see how Luke will ever forgive her now i'm sorry to say. :frowning:

In the end, she looked for conspiracies where there were none, and Luke not telling Loralai about April as soon as he found out was his perogative, it knocked him for a bit of a loop and he kept it to himself for awhile, I say big deal, i'm certain that he would have told Loralai when he was ready.

The problem with Loralai is that the woman is so damned impatient, if she had just allowed Luke time to get himself together with everything it would have been fine, the wedding would have been rescheduled and they would have tied the knot, but she got it into her head mid-season last year that the marriage wasn't going to happen, she talked herself into it and truly believed it...she, in a sense, willed this whole mess into existance and now it may be too late to repair it.

From what I read Rory is going to be pissed when she finds out about her mom sleeping with Chris, so Loralai may even end up alienating Rory as well.

I commented to my best friend that everyone on this show get's married so easily, Jackson and Sookie got married no sweat, Zack and Lane got married no problem at all, but when it comes to Loralai and Luke, complications and drama run rampant. But, Loralai is Emily Gilmore's daughter and I suppose this mess was inevitable on some level lol.

I thought Logan was a creep up until you saw him really saw him getting it from his father and saw how he was being forced into a life that he didn't really want. Granted, he's lucky to have any opportunity so I can't feel that bad for him. :)

Logan won me over fairly early when Dean broke up with Rory outside of Emily's house and Logan escorted her inside. He just had a caring attitude towards her, that's when I decided that he was a good guy.

Up until that point I took him for a semi snooty rich kid who was only out for a quick thrill.

That's what I think too. I think both Luke and Lorelai should take a little of the blame for the demise of their relationship. Granted, what Lorelai did was alittle more self-destructive but the bottom line is they both need to learn to communicate better. Luke and Lorelai are a lot alike and in this instance it's not a good thing.

Last season I thought that the writers were being assholes for tearing Luke and Lorelai apart when pretty much all the fans were happy they finally got together and no one I know thought it effected the show negatively. I just didn't understand why they had to go there. But, I have faith the new show runner will see the error of their ways and bring Luke and Lorelai back together again.

Luke would have revealed April to Loralai when he was ready, he had just found out about her himself, I really don't see the problem here, it's not like he didn't trust Loralai or anything like that, he just needed TIME and that's all, I don't think that was unreasonable of him.

He was juggling his time with Loralai and April just fine IMO, but again, Loralai read too much into it and convinced herself that Luke was somehow ignoring her when in actuality he wasn't.

I'm sorry, but I see no substantial wrong doing on Luke's part in this, I really don't.

Eh, I don't know that keeping an event this big from the person you claim to love and want to spend the rest of your life with is right. It may not be "wrong", but it's certainly dumb; the hurt feelings it creates will almost always be bigger the longer you wait.

Luke had known for three months. I still would rather Lorelai wind up with Luke because I think Christopher is a dick. But that's how I feel about Logan as well. Basically I think the Gilmore Girls have rotten taste in men.

As Jason already pointed out it may not have been wrong but it certainly was dumb.

First of all, there was not one reason in the world to withhold the information from Loralai. He should have told her the second he found out because he did nothing wrong. It wasn't like he abandoned her, he didn't even know he had a daughter. By without holding the information from Loralai it appeared he didn't trust her to be understanding and that's a real relationship killer.

As for the episode, I agree with those who have mentioned the kitchen scene as going on to long. It just needed to end quicker then it did.

As for the future I certainly hope Luke and Loralai don't get back together. I think it would be a bolder choice to have them move on to different people.

No sympathy here. If he doesn't want to be molded into his dad's mini-me, then he should get a job and pay for his own apartment and education. Complaining about what his father expects of him while at the same time continuing to spend his money is ridiculous.

We're just going to have to agree to disagree on the Luke issue, I simply see it differently. I think that the writers will have Luke and Loralai get together in the end, the Palladino's angered the fans by this break-up, I hear that the new people are pro Luke and Loralai and want them together.

I hope that's true.

That's what I think too. Also, just a few episodes before Luke found out about April he was freaked out that Lorelai received a phone call from Christopher and didn't tell him about it right away. And they promised they would no longer keep anything from each other. Which was something he insisted on and then he finds out something monumental like that and decides to keep it from Lorelai. So, he didn't practice what he was preaching. Yep, I agree, he was dumb.

According to TV GuideIt looks like Christopher is going to play a bigger part of this season. David Sutcliffe is going to be in the first thirteen episodes of the season and he's probably going to be in the last nine episodes of the year too.

I don't mind him being part of the show; as long as he ultimately gets kicked to the curb. :)

Man that was a stinkeroo.

The scene with Sookie in the kitchen screamed, 'let's try and do that GG thing where people prattle on and on while Lorelai stands there looking pensive, and fail utterly.'

Lor's being the worst kind of wounded chick.

Then Rory getting all hurt because Logan bought her a trip through Europe for X-mas break without reading her mind that she wanted to come to London right away and hang out while he's working a job he hates.
