Gamecube on TechTV's The Screensavers (1 Viewer)

Yesterday, The Screensavers TV show had a hand's-on piece with the import Gamecube. They basically just went over the specs, price, and games. They also showed Luigi's Mansion running. Anybody else catch the show? I'm still in awe as to how small the Cube is, as well as the size of the mini-discs. I've got to admit...I'm getting tempted.

I know what you mean. I still intend to get an XBOX in November and a GC later down the road, but there is something about the way the GC looks that draws me to it.
When I was looking at all those GC pics in that thread I posted earlier, I kept getting this urge to buy it

My life is now at it's all-time lowest point. Let me explain:

After watching that show last night, I was struck by the overwhelming need to construct my own mock-up of a Gamecube, in order to see for myself exactly how small it will be, and how it will fit in my entertainment center with my other consoles.
Just took the dimensions (4.3" H, 5.9" W, 6.3" D) and some simple cardboard, and voila (sorry, no pics). Haven't painted it up, and probably won't, because creating your own cardboard box based on the size of a game console that will be out in less than two months anyway is sad enough, even without all of the paint.
But yeah, it's tiny.
Overall, the show was nice. Wish they would have shown Monkey Ball along with Luigi's Mansion, but oh well. Some of their info was a bit incorrect (they said the launch was on November 8), but Leo said that he would be buying the Gamecube when it came out, which was a nice recommendation.

Because of its high density, does that mean the tv has some sort of superpowers?
Those guys know their stuff when it comes to computers. However, when it comes to home theater equipment...well, that's another story!
Anybody else notice how unbiased those guys are? They review and give advise about Windows, Linux, and MacOS. As a Linux guy, I can appreciate that.
BTW, I'm wondering just how long it takes for this thread to turn into a pissing contest?

I doubt it will, but you never know. Looks like that guy that did the review was totally into it for sure. I share your dissapointment that they didn't show Super monkey ball too Matt, that game is a total blast. When I do get my Game Cube the first thing I'm going to do is saw off that friggin handle

I didn't see the show. Will it be repeated? I love the show and that network.
On Extended Play they show video from GameCube and X-Box a lot, but they don't do what they did on TSS.
