Want to put together the very best, repeat best, PC configuration for large screen (12 feet wide)home cinema, where the projector is either 9" CRT (or high-end DLP or other but not LCD). Need to include 5.1 sound. The video system would simply be the finest PC to projector to screen, replacing a $100,000 CRT/Faroudja processor system. Would welcome serious proposals - so let your imagination and wishlist run riot! Thanks.

In terms of a videophile pc videocard there isn't any. SGHT just did an article on this, so it seems as though your best bet is still the radeon. I would seriously doubt that the HTPC processing would match that of farjouda.
Is the purpose of this new setup to get great performance for much less money?
