I hope this will be a port of the R2 France (MK2?) transfer with English subs. Potentially great news...
Wow, they finally got around to Croupier in R1 -- I must have seen my R2-UK DVD 5 times already. It is one great DVD -- highly recommended.

This Region 1 DVD originally was released in a unique rights situation as an "exclusive rental" title. This meant that Netflix.com was the first to offer this DVD for viewing, and had what is said to be a three-month window of exclusivity. After that three months expired, Image Entertainment was then scheduled to release this as a DVD for sale to the general public. Unfortunately, the DVD never materialized on store shelves, and the only way to view this film on DVD is via a non-region 1 release, or through a rental outlet like Netflix.
Come to think of it... my DVD is P+S - I'll look for it to verify... but I wasn't as enamored with the film as Ted...
Cheers,

The R2 UK of Croupier is a beautiful OAR anamorphic widescreen transfer, with an extremely incisive director's commentary.

Andrew, do these have English subs?
Three Colours Trilogy (Krzysztof Kieslowski, France/Poland) Artificial Eye [R2-UK]
That's been out for ages - it's even in the sales over here now for less than £10 a film (unless this is just a boxset repackaging of the old discs?)
