Flatter, less deep surround speakers (1 Viewer)

I'm really digging the audio in my home theater set up. One thing bothers me: the surround speakers are wall mounted and they stick out a good ways. I know it's that depth that goes with the size. But are there good speakers specially designed to be lower profile, so they don't stick out as far on a wall? Some engineering workarounds? Or is it an inherent loss of balance with my fronts if I go this route?

PS they are Polk bookshelf speakers and are about 13" deep.

I'm thinking about trying some of these Paradigm speakers -- bi-directional and only 5" deep.

Nothing to offer other than I had a little chuckle when I realized that the name of your thread was in regard to speaker shape and not sound quality! At first I thought you were desiring speakers with less range and bass.
