Flat Screen for bedroom (1 Viewer)

My question is not what brand of tv to buy but what size.

I've got a 7 year old Panasonic 50" plasma that I have been wanting to replace for some time. It works great but I want at least a 60".

If I buy a new flat screen I would mount the 50" on the wall in the bedroom. The bedroom is pretty small: 12x10. Would this be too big (yeah I know, bigger is better). I've also been thinking I could save some money and keep the 50" in the living room and buy 40" for the bedroom. Not sure if I would still want a 60" later.

My budget for the 60" is $1500

I know I can find a 40" for $400

What would you do.

It depends on the seating distance from screen.

And depends what you watch in bed.

Movies that show a bar across the top and bottom? Stick with the 50".

I have a 42" in my bedroom and am itching for 50".

Frame of reference though...I sit 9 feet from a 103" 2.40 in my main theatre.
