Waynes World

Garth Algar: Uhm, Wayne? What do you do if every time you see this one incredible woman, you think you're gonna hurl?
Wayne Campbell: I say hurl. If you blow chunks and she comes back, she's yours. But if you spew and she bolts, then it was never meant to be.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

Gillian: Don't tell me, you're from outer space.
Kirk: No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.

A movie filled with memorable quotes, so I went for a quick and simple one. After a lengthy cat and mouse verbal exchange between Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck as they size each other up in their first meeting, she reminds him she's married.

Walter Neff: "That tears it."

Because it does anything but...

Tony Stark: You got a family?
Yinsen: Yes, and I will see them when I leave here. And you, Stark?
Tony Stark: [quietly] No.
Yinsen: So you're a man who has everything, but nothing.

I'm gonna go WAY off the beaten Classic Quotes path here, to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen -- the dialogue wasn't much to write home about, but it had one line that was so funny it knocked me out of my chair:

Jetfire (a very old Transformer):

My father was a wheel! The first wheel! And do you know what he transformed into? NOTHING!!!
Mull that concept over for a while. :)

Cedric Hardwicke as Sethi: "Have no friend. Trust no woman. "

One of my favorite lines from THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

From "Clue"...

Quote:
Well, someone's got to break the ice, and it might as well be me... I mean I'm used to being a hostess; it's part of my husband's work and it's always difficult when a group of new friends meet together for the first time to get acquainted, so I'm perfectly prepared to start the ball rolling... and I mean I, I have absolutely no idea what we're doing here, or what I'm doing here, or what this place is all about... but, I am determined to enjoy myself and I'm very intrigued... and, oh my, this soup's delicious, isn't it?

In honor of Peter Graves:

Roger Murdock: Flight 2-0-9'er, you are cleared for take-off.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: L.A. departure frequency, 123 point 9'er.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Victor Basta: Request vector, over.
Captain Oveur: What?
Tower voice: Flight 2-0-9'er cleared for vector 324.
Roger Murdock: We have clearance, Clarence.
Captain Oveur: Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?
Tower voice: Tower's radio clearance, over!
Captain Oveur: That's Clarence Oveur. Over.
Tower voice: Over.
Captain Oveur: Roger.
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: Roger, over!
Roger Murdock: What?
Captain Oveur: Huh?
Victor Basta: Who?

A very funny exchange.
