I almost never like cover versions of Beatles songs, but I really must say that I enjoy Eddie Vedder's version of You've Got To Hide Your Love Away!

Tool's cover of "No Quarter" is great, and if you like Zeppelin, listen to Kevin Gilbert's version of "Kashmir".

It's hard to find, but it's definitely worth tracking down.

Chokes rendition of Platinum Blondes It doesn't really matter.

Also, Hi-Standards version of California Dreamin &

Lagwagons Bad Moon Rising.

No one does a cover tune like a good punk band.

I just had to resurrect this thread again. :)
My friend just introduced me to the Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies and they make some pretty good punk rock covers.
Some of their best covers include:
Brown Eyed Girl (originally by Van Morrison)
Cheers Theme (a.k.a. Where Everybody Knows Your Name by Gary Portnoy)
One Tin Soldier (originally by Coven)
Only the Good Die Young (originally by Billy Joel)
I'm also surprised I never listed Build Me Up Buttercup by The Goops (originally by The Foundations) or I Think I Love You by Less Than Jake (originally by The Partridge Family) in my original posts.
