In their defence, I could defiantely make out the fague outlines of Galactus' helmet both in the depths of the "cloud" and as the shadow passed over the rings of the planet (Saturn?).

I'm not saying the cloud was amazingly amazing, but at least if you were a fan and looking close enough (and knew what you were looking for), you could see that the cloud wasn't Galactus himself.
