I've seen "Kid" quite a few times (and the audiobook is awesome). But, I didn't think Bob Ryan was really based on Evans.

Though, it did look like they filmed at his house!

Ryan is just kind of a Hollywood old-timer. You'd be surprised how many like that there are around here. Nice guys, great stories, anachronisms.

I would expect the 2nd half to be pushed to March now that the Sopranos has been pushed. ROME has been bumped up to Jan 07 to take its place. No matter that ROME is better than the Sopranos currently, I could not see HBO holding with a Jan release for Entourage considering they are desperate for it to hit with a mainstream audience.

Fucking funny episode tonight, especially Drama whacking it and everyone else being able to hear it thanks to the mike still being on.

Awesome ending with Turtle getting the Ultra-Titanium-Extreme-Limited Edition kicks and then everything going to hell in a handbasket thanks to Bob selling IWBS to the WB.

"I'm not going in that Nazi sled." Martin Landau is terrific. Best Guest Actor in a Comedy nomination, anyone? It could happen thanks to W&G not being elgible next year.

Great Episode! This show keeps getting better and better. My favorite quote was from Ari

"It's like highschool E, you cant f**k the prom queen till she finds out her best friend jerked you off underneath the bleachers"

I loved Lloyds comment about the underground gay network that was all knowing and Aris "Id rather let Vince fuck my wife" comment

But man, what a downer. I don't really like how this whole season was one dump on Ari after another. It could be argued he deserves it but he's also the engine that drives the show. Why not dump on E? Kevin Connolly brings less to the table than anyone in the cast. It would bring some reason to take an interest in the character.

Looking back, while I still really enjoy the show and there were a number of quality moments throughout the season, I don't think it was as good as S1 and didn't hold a candle to S2.

i love landau's comments on the industry in general. while satirical, i think it is also very poignant.

truer words were never spoken about the intersections of life, business and art together. it's also important to note that landau himself has lived through all those transitions in the industry. to have someone of his life experience comment on that makes it all the more important. but like any sound bites/snippets in media, it'll be overlooked and forgotten like everything else in the fast paced hollywoodland.

re: ari, you all know it's just a little hook until we come back next spring, right? they did this between s1&2 and 2&3. in the end, it will all turn out fine.

PS i knew the moment they had everyone congregate that vince was going to see another one of those brand presentations =). it's like ari sold out even further, if such a thing was possible with agents =).

Ari's reaction was priceless. Ari and Lloyd could also have their own show at times.

Yeah, Entourage storylines get resolved so quickly that I would be SHOCKED if Ari isn't Vince's agent again by the end of the season opener.

i think the producers know their place. this show is just entertainment, not serious drama like the other heavy-hitters on HBO.

i'd like to see more flaky starlets like lindsy lohan, paris hilton be on the show so the crew can make fun of them =). if it's young, hot, why not have them be involved? =). i'd love to see jon favreau or vince vaughn stop by. that'd increase the sterility of the show more.
