I watched the Louis Malle thriller ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS last night, and enjoyed it immensely. I do have
one question, however. (Spoiler alert) The plot set-up includes a rope left hanging by a hook from an upper
story railing. However, part way through we see this same rope and hook on the street, where a little girl
finds it and runs off with it. So ... how did it get from railing to street? Did I miss a scene? Any thoughts, comments
or explanations?
