I avoided the film in theaters and in it's first DVD release due to the 'Daredevil effect' (first version is for the kids).

In interviews, Bowman seemed to indicate the studio demanded a throbbing techno soundtrack and endless action for a game-like ride.

If the DC is a more coherent tale that balances plot with action, I'm in.
